Me and My

Throughout the years, I've tried several times to make a plan to exercise regularly but I ended up failing every single one of them...

I don't think I've ever mentioned here on the blog but dancing is one of my favorite things and I've done it for nearly 10 years!
About 5 years ago, I started following Danielle Peazer because of her dancing career. Throughout the years I've watched her grow as a dancer, a model and recently she started uploading videos and tips about fitness and exercising.

My playlist

Recently, I put together a playlist of some of her videos and a week ago I started working out using her videos and I can honestly say that I've never felt so engaged and focused on my training!
Because I hadn't worked out in months (Yes I know it's a long time...), I am starting slowly but I want to make sure that I work every part of my body. It's important to adapt every workout or exercise to your rhythm and to your routine and make sure you don't push yourself too hard!
I'm trying to balance burning fat with working my legs, abs and arms.
Apart from all these videos, I'm lucky to live near the beach and I like to go for a walk. I'm not a massive fun of running but I love to walk.
As to when I work out, I prefer to do it in the morning rather than in the evening or at night. I feel like when I do it in the morning I spend the rest of the day in such a great mood because it's like all the stress is released during the workout and I can actually enjoy my day!
I'll be adding more videos to the playlist as I try them or as I find them so make sure to follow the playlist or search Danielle on Youtube.

And last, but not least, she has a brand new website where she'll share everything about her training and fitness.
Make sure to check it out! - daniellepeazer.com

Never give up!

My main problem about working out was giving up or being lazy and thinking that 'I'll just do it tomorrow'. This week I had the exact same feeling and I forced myself to work out and I felt so good after doing it!
I'm aware that the results don't show up after a couple days and I'm going to keep this state of mind because I really want to achieve my goals!
Don't forget to keep pushing yourself, to never give up but make sure you don't hurt yourself!

Well, I know it's been a while, but I couldn't miss this post! In December (14th to 17th), there was the 4th edition of Comic Con Portugal, in Porto!
It's been almost a month but I felt like I really had to share these amazing 4 days I had!

Comic Con is an event like nothing I've ever experienced. Last week, a friend of mine told me that he was curious about it and asked me if I could explain what would actually happen there. Honestly, I couldn't really explain it to him... I just told him what kind of areas it has and that was it... I don't know how to explain what Comic Con is if you haven't experienced it yet!

This edition of Comic Con was probably my favorite and it included the presence of: Dominic Purcell, Kirsten Vangsness, Clark Gregg and Daniela Ruah!

  • Dominic Purcell

He was the nicest, most genuine person I've seen! I honestly didn't expect him to be as outgoing and kind as he was!
At the end of his panels, he would always take time to take as many pictures as he could with his fans, even when his security pulled him to walk away.

  • Kirsten Vangsness

One of the biggest achievements of that weekend was watching Kirsten Vangsness! She plays one of my all time favorite characters, Penelope Garcia, from one of my favorite shows, Criminal Minds! She is as fun, crazy and sweet as Garcia and it was so interesting to find out that Kirsten puts so much of her personality into her character!

  • Clark Gregg

The most surprising moment was taking a photo with Clark Gregg.
Me and my friends were dressed as secret agents that day and, at the end of Clark's panel, me and a friend of mine ran to try to get close to him. When my friend was right in front of him, he pulled her to take a picture with him because, in his words, 'She is dressed as me!'. Right after that, he looked at me and said 'Come here!', pulling me to his side and giving my phone to my friend to take a photo!
It was such a surreal moment but it was so amazing!

  • Daniela Ruah

Last, but definitely not least, on the last day, I had the pleasure of meeting one of my biggest inspirations of my entire life: Daniela Ruah!
When the confirmation was released, I thought that something unpredictable would happen and she wouldn't come to Comic Con. I waited for months and when the day finally arrived I felt so nervous, like nothing I've felt before.
I waited about 20 to 30 minutes in line to meet her and when I only had 2 people in front of me I peeked and I saw her smile and she was so gorgeous!
When I went in, I was shaking so much that I couldn't hand my bag and my sunglasses to the volunteer, and he had to grab them from my hands... Yeah, I was that nervous...

It was finally my turn...
I hugged her and she told me she liked my suit (I was still dressed as a secret agent) and I know that at that point I just had a stupid smile on my face and I couldn't say anything! So, we took the picture, I thanked her a million times and left. Until this day, I'm not fully aware that that moment actually happened! I prayed so much for that moment to happen and it was even better than I expected. The only thing I regret was that I couldn't talk properly so I didn't tell her what I wanted but just hugging her and having that little moment with her was precious!
When I met my friends again, they were at Dominic's panel and I had to sit down next to them, put my sunglasses on and just breath for 2 minutes because I couldn't feel anything inside me at that point!
Daniela Ruah is one of my 3 female inspirations and I can finally say that I've met her.

What are your biggest inspirations? Have you met anyone that left you speechless?
Did you go to Comic Con? What was your favorite day?
