Employee X
I wrote this text last summer when I went on holidays with my parents. This is about an employee of our hotel that really messed with my head and I can't even explain how or why and at the time I really felt like writing about it! It is really genuine and I thought it would be good to share with all of you!
"I don’t
know him, I don’t know his name and I haven’t told him anything but ‘Good
morning’, ‘Good afternoon’, ‘Hi’ and ‘Thank you’… It seems so stupid but the
truth is that he has been more present in my thoughts than anyone else! He is
so calm, so sweet, so nice, so kind! His smile is so pure, so genuine… and his
blue eyes are one of the things that make me get lost while staring at him! I
know that for him I’m nothing but another guest at the hotel who he drives to
the beach and says ‘Hi’ to when he walks by.
I’m leaving
tomorrow and it’s stupid but I’m kind of sad because I won’t see him again… He
really messed with me like no other boy ever did and I don’t even know him!
Today I thought that he wasn’t here because I hadn’t seen him yet but, in the
afternoon, when I was laying by the pool, he showed up and a big smile instantly
appeared on my face and I couldn’t even control it or explain why… I don’t know
if it’s his eyes, his smile or just him being so calm and genuine… Maybe it’s
just because of him as a whole, I don’t know… What I know is that I won’t forget
him nor the way that he made me feel! I don’t love him, I know it’s not love…
Or is it? No, it’s not love! But if it’s not love, then what is it?..."
"It’s been 3
weeks since I’m back and the truth is sometimes I still think about him… Still
think of a scenario where I might find him again, where I could see him at
least one more time! I haven’t forgotten his face, or his blue eyes or his
smile!
It’s been 3
weeks and I still don’t know what I feel…"
