Me and My

This post might be a little random but it's an idea that I wanted to share!
Last year, I was asked about what could possibly represent me, either if it is an object, an animal or something nature related.
What could possibly be a representation of me? It's not something that I had ever thought about but it was a interesting question... a hard one, but very interesting! My friends thought of butterflies, a tree, a forest... And I had no idea of what to say!
When it came to me, the first thing that came to my mind was the sea! Yes, the sea! And it made a lot of sense to me!

We all know the sea is huge, mysterious and we are so far away from knowing it as a whole! You can only see underneath the surface as far as darkness and depth allow it and there's so much in the sea that we don’t know about, species no one has discovered and places no one has visited.

Just like the sea, I also don’t show people who I really am. I tend to hide a part of me, of my secrets and my features. People only know me as far as I allow them and I guarantee you that no one knows all of my secrets.

That’s why I say that I’m like the sea, hiding my secrets and mysteries.

"Inspired by..." is a series of posts that I'll write about from time to time. It will consist on talking about someone that inspires me or that I truly admire. Hope you like it!

I don’t think I’ve referred yet how obsessed I am about youtubers… but that is not really the point of this post… Story for another time I guess! (Post idea right there! ahah)
Well, I recently watched a video of a youtuber that I really like called Mark Ferris and the video is about how he changed over the past couple of years and how he is who he really wants to be and he is happy and doesn’t think of what other people think of him. Basically he had a pretty rough down time and he made his way up again.
On my post about the New Year (Out with the old, in with the new) I talked about how I feel and how hard I’m trying to change it. Since that post I’ve thought more and more about it and BAM! Mark Ferris does a video about it!
I can’t begin to describe how much this video inspired me and made me think of everything I feel! As I’ve said, the last couple of years have been super rough for me and I finally feel like I can see a difference in who I was and who I want to be: I really want to be me without thinking of the past, without being worried about what people think, without constantly remembering everything that certain people have told me!
It's a really long way and I know pretty well how hard it is so it just makes me so happy to see that someone that I really look up to actually did it and achieved his goal: to be happy and carefree! I am honestly so proud of Mark because I’ve seen his other videos where he talks about this topic and I understand perfectly what he means!
This video is everything I want to be and I can't thank him enough for this video because he really inspires me and knowing that he felt the same way I do and that he completed this process tells me that I can do it!
After such a long time, I finally see that there’s an end to this path and it feels so good! Of course a big part of the way I’ve completed I owe to all the people that inspire me every single day and one of those people is Mark! So if you have some time, please do check out his channel!

I wrote this text last summer when I went on holidays with my parents. This is about an employee of our hotel that really messed with my head and I can't even explain how or why and at the time I really felt like writing about it! It is really genuine and I thought it would be good to share with all of you!

"I don’t know him, I don’t know his name and I haven’t told him anything but ‘Good morning’, ‘Good afternoon’, ‘Hi’ and ‘Thank you’… It seems so stupid but the truth is that he has been more present in my thoughts than anyone else! He is so calm, so sweet, so nice, so kind! His smile is so pure, so genuine… and his blue eyes are one of the things that make me get lost while staring at him! I know that for him I’m nothing but another guest at the hotel who he drives to the beach and says ‘Hi’ to when he walks by.

I’m leaving tomorrow and it’s stupid but I’m kind of sad because I won’t see him again… He really messed with me like no other boy ever did and I don’t even know him! Today I thought that he wasn’t here because I hadn’t seen him yet but, in the afternoon, when I was laying by the pool, he showed up and a big smile instantly appeared on my face and I couldn’t even control it or explain why… I don’t know if it’s his eyes, his smile or just him being so calm and genuine… Maybe it’s just because of him as a whole, I don’t know… What I know is that I won’t forget him nor the way that he made me feel! I don’t love him, I know it’s not love… Or is it? No, it’s not love! But if it’s not love, then what is it?..."

"It’s been 3 weeks since I’m back and the truth is sometimes I still think about him… Still think of a scenario where I might find him again, where I could see him at least one more time! I haven’t forgotten his face, or his blue eyes or his smile!

It’s been 3 weeks and I still don’t know what I feel…"
